Oh, do I have time today. I have been in the Naruto fandom for a long time, and I've never seen Rin get hate until today. What the fuck do you mean it's her fault that Naruto was deprived of his parents?! She was just a kid!! Who had been kidnapped and Isobu was sealed inside of her, which was programmed to attack Konoha. That wasn't her choice, she didn't ask for that to happen to her.

Rin committed suicide to protect the village, and because Kakashi refused to kill her. What we're not gonna do is villainize her for future events that Obito caused. Sure that was his reasoning, but she is NOT responsible for what Obito did to Minato and Kushina. That's all on him, their blood is on his hands. But if we're gonna be pointing fingers, the one to blame for the cause of it all is Madara.

I don't wanna hear or read about Rin being responsible for depriving Naruto of a happy childhood when her own life ended at eleven. She was a child too.

In all honesty and judging by what we've seen of Rin's power level in canon, I don't think anyone bothered training or sparring with her at all, she most likely was treated as the team's medic and that's about it. Probably the last time she sparred with someone was in the academy. Or maybe Minato tried getting her to spar with her teammates literally twice before he gave up on the idea and convinced himself that it's okay, she's the team's medic so she doesn't need to learn other skills beside healing. The first time she sparred with Obito, he was too soft on her and by too soft I mean tooooooo soooooft, like he didn't want to attack her at all, afraid of hurting her, just being on the defensive all the time, just dodging and avoiding her attacks until he got too distracted by how pretty her eyes are and got punched straight in the face and broke his nose. And when she sparred with Kakashi, their spar was literally over in under 2 seconds because the gap between her and Kakashi's power level was too huge and unlike Obito, Kakashi didn't hold back.

A bit obsessed with the fact Kakashi wanted to die after Rin and Obito wanted to live to avenge her and Obito was supposed to be dead while Kakashi was alive. Obito fully died and the last thing he did was give Kakashi BOTH his eyes.

They are one and the same. They are opposites. They balance each other perfectly. They are their counterweight. It's love and hate and the weight of your existence in mine.

You know how Minato and Tsunade ended up as Hokages to honor the wishes of Kushina and Dan? Well, I'm just saying that Kakashi became Hokage for Obito... And yeah, Obito wanted Kakashi away for once so he could be with Rin, but he did make Rin wait so he could go back to give his eyes to Kakashi... The sharingan, the proof of his love and hate and grief and dreams, so Kakashi could save his team this time...

What do you think of Kabuto's redemption arc? I feel like given the backstory he was given via the flashbacks in the War Arc, the dude deserved to get a happy life, but at the same time there should have been more buildup about there being some good in him. But I'm interested to know what you think.

Quite honestly, and this isn't going to be the most measured or thoughtful response, I think it's cuckoo bananas that they resolved his arc that way! Sasuke gets an international hit put out on him for trying to kill ONE guy (Bee). The Raikage's brother, but one guy!

40,000 people die in first day the Fourth Shinobi War across all five villages and the samurai, and Kabuto is the only living person responsible. Don't get me wrong, Obito did a lot of it too, but he isn't around to take responsbility for it. So they have this one guy, who resurrected their loved ones and leaders to kill them, resurrected Madara who did a lot of the destruction and Infinite Tsukuyomi first-hand, and who siphoned Yamato's mokuton to reinforce the Zetsu clones, which were the vast majority of the opposing forces. They have literally no one else living that they can blame for this situation. They kill people for just leaving their village, in this society.

And they're like, "It's fine, Itachi had a really good talk with him, and now he's an excellent childcare worker." WHAT. WHAT?
